Molecular Sieve Type SK-1018 belongs to the generic family of Molecular Sieves Type 5A, the calcium form of the Type A crystal structure. It is an alkali metal aluminosilicate which is able to adsorb molecules with critical diameters upto 5 angstroms. Molecular Sieve Type SK-1018 was specially developed for the removal of carbonylsulfide (COS) from propane. It is applied for sweetening of propane, where, besides COS, also H2S and lower mercaptans are removed Made:USA UOP Co.
